Tamron offers a series of 1/3" format IR-compatible fixed focal length lenses covering a complete range from 2.2mm for an ultra wide-angle view of 118.6 degrees to 8mm for an angle of view of 34.5 degrees.

■Day-to-night Surveillance
Each lens is IR-compatible to allow surveillance not only in daytime but also at night.
Differences between visible light lenses and infrared lenses
Visible light lens
Since light dispersion is large due to differences in wavelengths, the positions of focal planes for light in infrared and visible light ranges differ.
This difference in focal planes causes image blur.
Infrared lens
With Tamron IR lenses, focal planes for the visible and infrared light ranges are almost the same,
which means that the surveillance camera can deliver sharp images in both day and night applications.
